The 5th Annual Mum’s the Word Rail Jam raffle and auction kicks off at 2:30pm on the 8th of August 2015, to raise funds for Daffodil Day.
Held in the Basin Rail Park below Swindlers, the event is a free, non-competitive jam where everybody can get together, slide some rails and provide support for people and families dealing with cancer.
The event started in 2011 after a Hotham family lost their mother to cancer. Unable to allow a friend to feel alone, event founder, Andy Terhell, started Mums the Word to raise awareness and support the Daffodil Day Foundation while letting people of all abilities have fun in the park.
The event raised almost $7,000 the first year and has continued to grow every year, with an astounding $15,000 raised in 2014.
So join us at Mt Hotham on Saturday 8 August for some shreds and show your support. It’s a fantastic day, there are free give aways, an awesome raffle and auction as well as the best company around!
