The Hotham Junior Freeride Series kicked off on Saturday with the annual Bread + Butters Rail Jam held in the Sun Run Rail Garden.
The event attracted some of Hotham’s most promising ski and snowboard future talents, with competitors hitting a variety of features from flat boxes to Hotham`s much loved tube and street rail. The close competition saw riders giving it their all and creating a great atmosphere.
In the Male Ski Division Tristan Rowley came out on top in the Mini Grom division, Gus Broersen took the title for the Groms with an impressive day in the park and the very talented Charlie Mills showed us how it’s done coming in first in the junior division.
In the female Ski Division we had Gitta Evans ripping up the park to take out the Mini Grom category, Millie Evans showed us some great skills in the Grom category coming out on top.
In the Male Snowboard Division, Ben Hill came first in the Mini Grom Category showing off some great tech skill and Carter Mills once again showed top form taking out the competition in the Grom Male category.
In the Female Snowboard Division, Charlotte Cornelius showed great style and ease bringing home a win in the Grom division, aswell as the talent that Georgia Mylonas brought to the competition to come out on top in the Junior division.
It was a close event all round with all competitors pulling out all the stops to put on a show. Big thanks to the event sponsor of the day The Bird for their contributions to the Hotham Junior Freeride Series.
