Dinner Plain`s tubing park and mountain biking pump track will open to the public this Easter long weekend.
Installation of infrastructure was completed in Dinner Plain this week, including laying of Neve Plast artificial snow for tubing and a looping trail system of berms and rollers for a biking pump track.
“Two 100m fast straight lanes for tubing offers lots of fun for the family and an alternative to traditional on snow activities”, said Elaine Burridge, Economic and Community Development Manager, Alpine Shire Council.
“The tubing park has arrived just in time and will be operational over the Easter period, adding to the many things to do at Dinner Plain including the Dinner Plain Easter Festival, the Geebung Polo and the myriad of nature based activities already on offer”, she continues.
The bike pump track has been added to the mountain bike trail in Dinner Plain and is also suitable for skateboards and scooters, adding to a flurry of things to do in Hotham and Dinner Plain this Easter long weekend.
Tubing park Easter opening hours:
- 11am – 3pm Easter Saturday
- 11am – 2pm Easter Sunday
- 11am – 2pm Easter Monday.
Cost is $10 for 4 slides.
The addition of these features aims to promote ‘green’ season activities in the high country, funded through Federal and State government product development funds and Alpine Shire Council, which also include the snowmaking, ski field lighting and MTB projects at Dinner Plain.
The tubing park is part of the new Dinner Plain Snow Park, which will offer year round tubing as well as snow tubing and skiing in the Winter months.
