The second event in the Hotham Junior Freeride Series for 2016 was held on Saturday 9 July with the Rail Style.
Hotham Parks Crew have done a fantastic job to create a great park with a huge variety of features from street rails, corrugated tubes down to bed boxes and an impressive inverted rainbow to flat down box.
In the Female Grom Ski Division we had an impressive battle between Zoe Grayson and Gitta Evans resulting in equal firsts. While Kareema Wakim showed us some incredible talent to take win in the Mini Grom Division.
In the Male Ski Division Zac McGown took the win for the Mini Grom’s. The Grom division was another close competition between the boys with Sam Heffernan coming out on top, and Tom Heffernan took the title for the Juniors with yet another impressive run through the park showing a great combination of tech skill and amplitude.
In the Female snowboard division the Mini Grom title was taken by Rose Rostron and Charlotte Cornelius showed great form winning the junior title.
In the Male snowboard division the Mini Grom Zephyr Whitellaw took the win and Dylan Walker showed us what it takes to be a winner in the Grom division.
A big thank you to all the competitors and the Hotham Parks Crew.
Our next event for the Hotham Junior Freeride series is the Ski only Moguls on the 23 July, followed by the Rider-X on the 24 July we look forward to seeing you there.
