What an amazing start to winter we have had. Yet another storm front has passed through Hotham and we were delighted to wake up to 5-10cm of fresh snow across the resort! These consistent snowfalls have coupled perfectly with some incredible cold conditions. These cooler temperatures have allowed our 106 snow guns to work their magic in the lead up to the weekend. The resort has never looked better so early into the season!

So the big question remains, what lifts will be spinning this June Long Weekend?

We are excited to announce that Summit Quad, Big D and Summit Trainer will be ready to roll for Opening Weekend!

For those of you ready to get in your first tracks for the season we have a special Weekend Only offer – Adult Day passes will be just $89 and children’s passes $49!*

Need a refresher? Our instructors will also be on hand to get those legs back into shape. Our half day kids programs will be running at the Big D where parents can now also access children's equipment hire at Hotham Sports Kids, new to the Big D for 2017! We will also have our group lessons running (15yrs or older) where lessons have increased to 2.5hrs on top of our new max 7! Now you have more time, more personalised tuition and can progress faster with a maximum group of just 7.

With Skiing, snowboarding, fireworks and parties, our Opening Weekend festivities are a great way to set you up for a great season ahead, it’s time to get excited about winter in the Aussie Alps!

There is as much entertainment off the slopes as there will be on! This Saturday enjoy the latest in après fashion, skis and boots whilst sipping on complimentary champagne in One Tree Sports. Also on offer are some yummy nibbles and the chance to win some great prizes.

Following your retail therapy take a walk outside and watch the Hotham skies light up Saturday evening with our firework extravaganza. Our tip: make it to Swindlers deck; it will be the ultimate viewing point for the show!

For those of you looking for more snow action the Dinner Plain Tube Park will be open with lots of spinning and sliding action for the whole family, laughs and fun are guaranteed.

If the party animal in you wants to experience the Hotham nightlife Swindlers will be hosting Hotham locals Hand Me Downs Saturday night whilst The General will be dancing the night away on Sunday with DJ Eddy spinning some tunes!

These are just a taste of what’s on this Opening Weekend but you can get the gist, this is one Season starter party you want to be a part of!

*Passes will only be available over the counter and are subject to change if we get more terrain open.
